GroundK Signs Tourism Cooperation MOU with Zimcarry

GroundK has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Zimcarry, the operator of the KTX express delivery service, to grow the tourism sector and pursue joint marketing. Both companies are Busan-based tourism enterprises, and they will work together on inbound tourism services, overseas market expansion, data research, and joint travel-tech R&D.

About the Two Companies

GroundK is a global mobility company that runs its own IT solutions and a vehicle network connected across 50 countries in Korea and abroad. The company has translated operational know-how built across events, motorcade, and shuttle work into digital mobility solutions.

Zimcarry operates the KTX express delivery service and provides the largest half-day express daily-logistics service in Korea. Built on fast delivery and a dense logistics-management infrastructure, the company has grown from a base in Busan. Both partners are Busan-based tourism enterprises, and that shared ground has steadily brought their work closer together.

How the Collaboration Began

The two companies have built a relationship through ongoing networking, confirming each other's capabilities and the room to work together. It has been a process of finding the points where their actual business areas meet, rather than exchange for its own sake.

The collaboration gained momentum this year, when GroundK's technology was adopted into Zimcarry's logistics-management infrastructure. GroundK's system capability, shaped by its mobility operations, was tested in a logistics setting and became the foundation that led to this agreement.

What the Agreement Covers

Through this MOU, the two companies have agreed to move beyond their existing exchange toward creating value together in Korea's inbound tourism services market and pursuing joint marketing. The agreement sets up a structure for jointly addressing the movement and logistics of inbound travellers visiting Busan.

  • Data research collaboration
  • Joint travel-tech R&D
  • Expanded personnel exchange

What the Two CEOs Expect
