Three Days at Pyeongchang, Connected Through a Digital Booking System

From May 1 to 3, 2026, the WHOOP UCI MTB World Series was held for the first time in Asia at Mt. Balwang in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province. As the company providing the mobility solution for the event, GroundK developed a dedicated transportation booking platform powered by its proprietary SaaS, T-RiseUp TMS. Centered on the route between Incheon International Airport and Monyongpyeong, our team operated a range of vehicles—including premium sedans, coach buses, rental cars, vans, and cargo trucks—to fulfill bookings submitted through the platform. Combining digital reservations with real-time dispatch monitoring, the project demonstrated GroundK's digital mobility solution capabilities in a global sporting environment.

Solving Mobility for International Sporting Events Through Digital Infrastructure

The UCI MTB World Series, organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), is one of the most prestigious mountain biking competitions, featuring top-tier athletes across Downhill (DHI), Cross-country Olympic (XCO), and Cross-country Short Track (XCC) disciplines. As the event was held in Asia for the first time after its long-standing presence in Europe and North America, every operational element needed to align with global standards. Given the unique conditions of competition at Mt. Balwang—an alpine venue at 1,458 meters above sea level—creating a digital environment where international participants could efficiently access transportation services emerged as a critical task. Rather than offering a conventional vehicle-dispatch service, GroundK provided a mobility solution rooted in a digital booking system tailored to global event requirements.

1. Designing and Building a Dedicated Transportation Booking Website

A central challenge of the event was creating an environment in which participants from various nationalities and schedules could individually reserve and access transportation services. Building on the route between Incheon International Airport and Monyongpyeong, GroundK leveraged the white-label capabilities of T-RiseUp TMS to develop a dedicated transportation booking website tailored to the event. Participants could browse pickup schedules and vehicle options and complete reservations within the event's branded environment, without navigating through external systems. Each incoming booking was automatically synced with our dispatch operations, creating a seamless connection from request to execution. This digitized booking process functioned as core infrastructure, enhancing mobility accessibility for an international participant base.

2. Multi-Vehicle Dispatch Operations Aligned with Submitted Bookings

Mobility for international mountain biking events extends beyond passenger transport to include the safe transportation of precision equipment and operational supplies. Based on the nature of bookings submitted through the platform, GroundK flexibly dispatched a range of vehicle types—premium sedans, coach buses, rental cars, vans, and cargo trucks. Premium sedans served bookings requiring chauffeured transportation, coach buses handled group movement requests, and cargo trucks transported bicycles and maintenance equipment. By integrating booking data and real-time vehicle operations on the T-RiseUp platform, dispatch across diverse vehicle types was managed consistently within a single digital framework.

3. GroundK and T-RiseUp: A Dedicated Digital Platform Built on White-Label Capabilities

GroundK is more than a transportation provider—it is a B2B mobility solutions company with its own SaaS platform, T-RiseUp. For this event, our team utilized T-RiseUp TMS's white-label capabilities to build a transportation booking website that fully reflected the event's brand environment. Equipped with multilingual reservation interfaces, real-time seat management, and global payment gateway integration, the platform met the digital operational standards required by global competitions—delivering a familiar user experience for participants while providing unified booking management for organizers. Building on T-RiseUp's track record across mega-events such as APEC 2025, the Korea-Africa Summit, and BLACKPINK's World Tour, GroundK once again demonstrated its position as a digital mobility solutions company on the UCI MTB stage.

The Next Stage of Global Sports Mobility, Opened by Digital Booking Systems

GroundK successfully operated a dedicated transportation booking system based on T-RiseUp TMS at the 2026 WHOOP UCI MTB World Series, the first edition of the event held in Asia. With digital booking pages, real-time dispatch monitoring, and multi-vehicle operations functioning together on a unified platform, the project marks a meaningful case in the digital transformation of mobility for global sporting events. As the event is scheduled to return to Mt. Balwang for three consecutive years through 2028, GroundK will leverage the operational data and T-RiseUp technology accumulated through this experience to deliver more refined digital mobility solutions on future stages. As a company designing the movement experience of global mega-events through digital infrastructure, GroundK's journey continues.
